Patio Installation
Outdoor living space built to gather on.
Patio Installation Built Right
A great patio starts below the surface. The base — not the pavers — is what decides whether a patio stays level or heaves, dips, and grows weeds. We excavate, grade, and compact a proper aggregate base so your patio drains correctly and stays flat through freeze-thaw cycles.
From natural stone to concrete pavers, we lay patterns tight, set edges solidly, and sweep in joint material that locks the surface together.

What's Included
- Natural stone patios
- Concrete paver patios
- Base excavation and compaction
- Edge restraint installation
- Slope and drainage grading
- Polymeric sand joint setting
Our Process
- 1
Excavate & Base
We excavate to depth, add compacted aggregate base in lifts, and grade for drainage so water runs off rather than pooling.
- 2
Screed & Lay
A bedding layer is screeded flat and pavers are laid in your chosen pattern with consistent joints and tight edges.
- 3
Compact & Set
Pavers are compacted into the bedding, edge restraints are set, and polymeric sand locks the joints against weeds and washout.
Patio Installation — Common Questions
Pavers or poured concrete for a patio?
Pavers offer easier repairs, more pattern options, and better flex through freeze-thaw. Poured concrete is lower cost but prone to cracking in our climate. We'll recommend based on your site and goals.
Will my patio heave in winter?
A properly compacted base with correct drainage minimizes heave. We build to the conditions of your yard so the surface stays as level as possible through the seasons.
